As a recent University of Maryland graduate I am enthusiastic to begin my professional engineering career. I have interest in product design and development, as well as, control systems. I am seeking entry level positions that will allow me to develop further in these areas.

My experience at the University of Maryland has developed my critical thinking and technical skills, in addition to, my team work and communication skills giving my professional development a sturdy foundation to grow from.

ENGINEERING EXPERIENCE 

Integrated Product and Process Development

-Intervertebral Load Measuring Prototype (Sponsored by K2M Inc.): Group Member

 

  • Collaborated in the development and design of load sensing vertebral prototype

  • Evaluated physics involved in the testing and future vertebral environment for the prototype

  • Applied Buckingham Pi Theorem and scaling analysis to correlate prototype and model testing parameters

  • Final prototype will be used by K2M as a proof of concept for further development

 

Additive Manufacturing

-Meso-fluidic Diode: Group Member

 

  • Designed a two material meso-fluidic umbrella diode using Solidworks.

  • Assisted with post processing by removing excess support material

  • Calculated diodicities and flow resistances used to assess the performance of each diode

  • Collaborated in the creation of journal-style manuscript illustrating the additive design process and performance analysis of each diode

 

Product Engineering and Manufacturing

-Group Member 

             

  • Used the Product Design Process to analyze the development and performance of Dewalt’s DCF815 impact driver

  • Performed benchmarking, dissection, dimensioning, and thermal management analysis on DCF815 impact driver

  • Prepared and proposed a redesign of the DCF815 to Dewalt representatives.

WORK EXPERIENCE

Vibration, Controls, and Optimization II

- Teaching Fellow

  • Assisted the course instructors with grading of homework assignments and the Final Exam

  • Guided students through improper coding and/or misunderstood control theory in MATLAB Studios

  • Held weekly office hours to assist students with assignments
